API Terms of Service

Last updated: 19 July 2026

These API Terms of Service ("API Terms") govern access to and use of Sigbot's application programming interface (the "API"). The API Terms supplement, and are incorporated into, Sigbot's Terms of Service (the "Terms"). Capitalised terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms. By requesting API credentials or making a call to the API, you agree to these API Terms.

1. Access and Credentials

The API is currently in private beta. API keys are issued on request — email support@sigbot.co to request access. Published developer documentation and self-serve key management will follow general availability.

API access requires an active Sigbot subscription and an API key issued to your account. You are responsible for keeping your API key confidential and for all activity conducted using it. Notify us immediately at security@sigbot.co if you believe a key has been compromised, and we will revoke and reissue it.

2. Permitted Use

You may use the API to retrieve, create, update, or delete Customer Data within your own Sigbot account, and to integrate that data into your own internal systems (e.g. CRM export). You may not use the API to:

3. Rate Limits and Fair Use

API requests are subject to rate limits, which may vary by plan; during the private beta, the limits that apply to your account are communicated when your API key is issued. We may throttle, queue, or reject requests that exceed these limits, and may adjust rate limits at any time to protect the stability of the Services.

4. Changes and Versioning

We may modify, deprecate, or discontinue API endpoints or versions. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide advance notice of breaking changes and a reasonable migration window before deprecating a supported API version.

5. Availability

We aim to maintain high availability of the API but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance and unplanned outages may occur; where practicable, we will communicate planned maintenance windows in advance.

6. Data via the API

Data accessed or transmitted via the API remains Customer Data as defined in the Terms, and Sigbot's processing of it is governed by our Privacy Policy and, where applicable, our Data Processing Addendum. You remain responsible for how you use, store, and secure data once it leaves the API.

7. Suspension

We may suspend API access, without liability, if we reasonably believe your use poses a security risk, violates these API Terms, or threatens the stability of the Services for other customers. Where practicable, we will attempt to notify you before or promptly after suspension.

8. Disclaimers and Liability

The API is provided "as is" as part of the Services. The disclaimers and limitation of liability in Sections 8 and 9 of the Terms apply equally to your use of the API.

9. Contact

All questions about the API or these terms can be sent to legal@sigbot.co.
