You can delete your Sigbot account and the data associated with it at any time. This page applies to the Sigbot mobile app (iOS and Android), the web app at sigbot.app, the desktop app, and the browser and Outlook extensions — they all share one account.
Deletion is permanent. Once your account is deleted we cannot restore your contacts, folders, or scan history, so export anything you want to keep first (Contacts → Export in the web app produces a CSV or vCard file).
This is the fastest route and takes effect immediately.
If you no longer have the app installed, cannot sign in, or would simply prefer we handle it, email legal@sigbot.co from the email address on your Sigbot account with the subject line Account deletion request.
We will confirm the request by replying to that address (to make sure nobody can delete an account that isn't theirs), then delete the account within 30 days of your confirmation. You will receive a final email once it is done.
If you cannot access the email address on the account, tell us in your message and we will verify your identity another way.
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Your login (email address, password hash, sign-in providers) | Deleted immediately. |
| Contacts, folders, tags, notes, and scan history in your personal workspace | Deleted immediately. |
| Business-card images and OCR results | Deleted immediately. Images are not retained after scanning in any case. |
| Connected mailbox credentials (Outlook, IMAP) | Revoked and deleted immediately. |
| Contacts you shared into a team folder | Remain with the team, as they belong to the team workspace. Your membership is removed. Ask your team admin to delete them if needed. |
| Billing records and invoices | Retained for up to 7 years where required by UK tax and accounting law. Your subscription is cancelled at deletion. |
| Backups | Purged from encrypted backups within 30 days. |
| Anonymised usage analytics | Retained; it cannot be linked back to you once the account is gone. |
You do not have to delete your whole account to remove data. From any app you can delete individual contacts or entire folders, and disconnect a mailbox from Settings → Connected accounts, which revokes our access and deletes the stored credential. To exercise any other data-protection right, see section 8 of our Privacy Policy or contact legal@sigbot.co.
