Sigbot for Outlook

Help and support

What it does

Sigbot for Outlook adds a Save contact button to emails you read in Outlook. It reads the signature of the email you have open and turns it into a contact card — name, job title, company, email, phone, mobile, website and address — straight away, before you sign in. Check or edit the card, see whether the person is already in your Sigbot contacts, then save them to your own contacts, one of your folders, or a team folder you can add to.

A Sigbot account is needed to save contacts. Contacts you save appear in the Sigbot web app and the Sigbot phone apps, with your map, Caller ID and Excel/CSV export.

Install

Use

  1. Open an email and choose Save contact on the message ribbon (Outlook on the web: Apps → Sigbot).
  2. Check the card. Fields marked guess came from the email address rather than the signature.
  3. Sign in: Continue with Microsoft, or your Sigbot email and password. The first time you use Microsoft sign-in you may be asked for your Sigbot password once to connect the two.
  4. Choose where to save it and select Save contact. Pin the pane to keep it open as you move between emails.

Signing out: Sign out in the pane. Sign out and forget Microsoft sign-in also disconnects your Microsoft account from Sigbot. To remove the add-in: Apps → My add-ins → Sigbot → Remove.

Privacy and permissions

The add-in can read only the email you have open (Outlook's ReadItem permission). The signature is read inside Outlook on your computer; the email itself is never sent to Sigbot. Only the contact details you choose to save are sent. Read the Sigbot for Outlook privacy notice and the full Privacy Policy.

Support

Email support@sigbot.co or use the contact page. If your organisation blocks Microsoft sign-in for new apps, sign in with your Sigbot email and password instead, or ask your IT team to approve Sigbot (see For IT admins).
